About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Graduate IT Specialist in our Newcastle office. As the IT Specialist, you will be a key member of our Smart Utility team. You will assist our customers’ processes and dig into business analysis activities to become an expert in our customers’ business needs.

You will assist clients with the implementation of our smart utilities data management software systems. You will work with our internal teams to ensure our customers have the tools and support they need to fully integrate our software into their business

 

Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in information technology, computing science, data analytics or equivalent.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers that have purchased our software solutions and professional services (integrations, migrations, requests for custom development etc.). This may include:

    • Document the as-is and to-be states of the customer’s workflows, data, functional and non-functional requirements.

    • Facilitate design workshops with customers and/or internal team members in order to capture requirements and use cases.

    • Development of software databases, data connections, operational reports and website interfaces etc.

    • Implement software solutions on customer sites.

    • Create supporting documentation for the project as required.

    • Facilitate customer training sessions on the software solutions and their custom implementation.

    • Track, communicate and follow up on day to day questions from customers.

 

Experience/Skills:

  • Related experience with the following would be well regarded, though not essential:

    • Software implementation, business analyst or equivalent.

    • APIs and associated programming e.g. (Python, JavaScript).

    • SCADA systems.

    • Working with and/or supporting SaaS products.

    • Data visualization.

    • Environmental, water quality or time-series data.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide creative solutions to problems and business challenges.

  • Skilled at communicating with both technical & non-technical people.

  • Excellent process analysis, requirements gathering, and workflow documentation skills working within an agile delivery framework.

  • Superior written and verbal English skills.

  • Ability to meet objectives within established time frames.
