About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Control & Instrument Technician to join our engineering team in our Townsville operations. Preference will be given to candidates with post trade qualifications and proven experience in SCADA, PLC and Telemetry projects. To be successful in this role you will be required to hold Electrical Trade Qualifications and must have the right to work in Australia.
Candidate Profile:
Your role will be supported by our team of engineering professionals, and coupled with your strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, your responsibilities will include: 5+ years of hands-on industrial experience, design, developmen, testing and commissioning of industrial automation projects, instrument installation & calibration experience, electrical installation works and drawing mark-ups, fauly finding to identify and advise on potential improvements & solutions on customer sites.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- You will have 5+ years of hands-on industrial experience.
- Current NSW Electrical Supervisors Certificate.
- Current Australian driver's license.
- Stong working knowledge of Schneider and Rockwell PLC's, Broderson and Kingfisher RTU's
- HART experience
- Ability to work unsupervised on customer sites.
- A customer focused, team orientated and results driven work ethic.
- Have the ability to carry out a safety risk assessment and complete JSEA, SWMS and Take 5 docmentation.
- SCADA experience.
- Ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
