About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Engineer within our Brisbane office. The Lead Engineer partners with SGA clients to design and implement tailored technology solutions, including PLC, SCADA, and related systems. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Lead Engineer mentors and guides engineers, ensuring quality standards and fostering professional growth. Work is divided between office-based development, on-site commissioning, and on-call support.

Desirable Experience and Skills:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a project lifecycle inclusive of design, documentation, development, testing and commissioning.
- Participate in design review/workshops with client and other parties involved
- Ensure project delivery meets with schedule and budget constraints
- Manage automation project personnel and resources to meet key milestones and deadlines
- Verify, interpret, and ensure delivery of customer requirements and contracted project deliverables
- Lead, coach, develop and participate in informal and formal reviews for staff in the automation team
About You
- You will be degree qualified in Engineering having extensive work experience in control systems design, programming and commissioning
- You will have widespread skills and knowledge in electrical design, fault finding and commissioning of industrial automation plants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage projects and teams
- Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications/Experience Required
- You will be RPEQ (preferred)
- PLC, SCADA, and HMI experience across the major Vendor platforms - Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider
- Candidates with experience in legacy control systems and experience with modernisation strategies will be highly valued
